Job Overview - Staff Nurse (RN/LPN):
Become a vital part of our client's healthcare team as either a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in the Bronx, NY, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive setting. This temporary role offers a consistent schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes!

Compensation: $36 - $55/hour (Dependent on Licensure)
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM


Responsibilities as the Staff Nurse (RN/LPN):
  • Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients, including implementing physician orders and utilizing the nursing process to address health needs.
  • Clinical Assessment: Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions, prioritize nursing interventions, and execute medical plans under the direction of treating clinicians.
  • Education: Educate and counsel patients and families on wound care and other health management topics to promote understanding and self-care.
  • Supervision: Supervise care provided by LPNs, Medical Assistants, and other staff; ensure coordination with external healthcare providers to maintain continuity of care.
  • Health Management: Engage in activities such as patient screenings, pain management, falls prevention, and discharge planning to optimize health outcomes.
  • Administrative: Support tasks like prior authorization for treatments, participation in health outcome reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications for the Staff Nurse (RN/LPN):
  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing preferred for Magnet hospitals).
  • Licensure: Active New York State RN or LPN license required.
  • Certifications: Current CPR and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with expertise in wound care and phlebotomy.
  • Skills: Excellent clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
  • Additional: Familiarity with billing and coding is a valuable asset.
