Job Overview - RN, Regional Public Health Nurse (Hybrid):
We are seeking a dedicated Regional Public Health Nurse in Norfolk County, MA, to lead community-focused health initiatives. This hybrid role involves nursing, policy development, and public health education, working closely with community partners to address local health needs.
Compensation: $82,000 - $96,000/year
Location: Norfolk County, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Hours (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Regional Public Health Nurse:
- Community Outreach: Develop and deliver health education and training tailored to the needs of vulnerable populations.
- Collaboration: Partner with community organizations to implement health initiatives and provide public health nursing services.
- Health Assessments: Conduct community health assessments and support data collection for informed decision-making.
- Health Education: Provide training on wellness, disease prevention, and mental health, including articles for local publications.
- Clinical Services: Deliver health screenings, wellness clinics, and vaccination programs.
- Policy Development: Research and apply evidence-based practices to inform public health policies.
- Education: BSN or bachelor’s in a related field (public health, education, social work) with an active RN license.
- Experience: 4+ years in Nursing or Public Health.
- Licensure: Active Massachusetts RN license, CPR certification, and valid driver’s license for independent travel.
- Skills: Strong clinical and administrative skills, community outreach, program development, and public speaking.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional weekends and travel across multiple communities.
- Preferred: Nursing experience in a community health setting, ambulatory care setting, or with unique populations is considered a plus.
