Job Description
Join our client in Columbus, GA, as a Behavioral Health Nurse (RN). In this role, you will provide patient care within a psychiatric or behavioral health setting, ensuring continuity and quality care during assigned shifts.
Compensation: $72,000 - $93,000/year
Location: Columbus, GA
Schedule: Day or Night Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Responsibilities as the Behavioral Health Nurse (RN):
- Nursing Care: Provide, plan, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with patient care philosophy and department policies.
- Individualized Care: Facilitate goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other shifts to ensure continuity of care.
- Patient Relations: Maintain positive relations with other nursing units and departments.
- Education: Participate in educational phases to enhance patient care practices.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required (Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred).
- Experience: 1.5+ years of Psychiatric/Behavioral Health bedside nursing required (Behavioral Health facility experience preferred).
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or multi-state compact RN license.
- Certifications: BLS required; Handle with Care, CPI, and ACLS (preferred).
- Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
