Job Description

Open RN - Pediatric role in Greenville, NC.

13 Week assignment starting at the beginning of next year. 12 hour shifts in a Short Term Acute Care facility.

JOB DETAILS

The population consists of acute pediatric patients with brain injuries (traumatic and non-traumatic), debility, failure to thrive, major multiple trauma, neurological conditions, orthopedic conditions, and spinal cord injuries. Patients are required to participate in 3 hours of therapy and have a medical need to remain in an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. Registered nurses partner with physicians and therapists to provide medical management. Therapy is predominately provided by physical, occupational, and speech-language pathology, although orthotic, recreational, and audiology services are also offered. Therapy and nursing services are designed to help patients gain independence to return to their communities. Registered nurses provide care in conjunction with the nursing assistant, therapy services and medical team. Assignments are based on the patient’s needs, the geographical location of the patients, and the resources available. The charge nurse does not have a patient assignment.

REQUIREMENTS

Registered Nurse, Pedi Licenses: RN(Compact Accepted) Certifications: BLS-AHA; PALS-AHA EKG exam & Pharm exam - must pass during compliance process - prestart 80 mile radius
