Job Overview – Intensive Mobile Treatment RN (IMT):
Step into a key role as an Intensive Mobile Treatment (IMT) Registered Nurse with our client in New York, NY. In this field-based position, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, focusing on mental and physical health needs for a dedicated caseload of clients. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver trauma-informed, client-focused care aimed at supporting recovery and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Compensation: $99,000 - $111,000/year
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Responsibilities as the Intensive Mobile Treatment RN (IMT):

  • Medication Management: Administer, monitor, and oversee psychiatric medications in collaboration with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
  • Community-Based Care: Provide injectable medications, first aid, and health assessments in community settings, ensuring holistic care.
  • Client Education: Deliver psychoeducation on health, wellness, and recovery techniques to clients and team members.
  • Case Management: Maintain accurate case records, coordinate medical documentation, and support care planning through case conferences.
  • Collaboration: Serve as a medical resource for the team, contributing to integrated care for clients with co-occurring conditions.
  • System and Technology Use: Assist in developing healthcare processes and utilize databases (AWARDS, PSYCKES, HEALTHIX) for accurate reporting.
Qualifications for the Intensive Mobile Treatment RN (IMT):
  • Licensure: Active NY State License as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in IMT, SMT, ACT, EMS, or related fields, with expertise in substance abuse, mental illness, homelessness, and trauma.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and case management abilities, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel); ability to learn and use electronic databases such as AWARDS, PSYCKES, and HEALTHIX.
  • Preferred: Understanding of harm reduction techniques and fluency in Spanish are a plus.
  • Additional: Valid driver’s license required.
