Job Overview – Registered Nurse (Sports Medicine):
Take on an exciting role with our client as a Registered Nurse (Sports Medicine) in New York, NY. In this position, you’ll provide top-tier nursing care to patients, assist with clinical procedures, and collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless treatment for athletes and sports-related injuries. This role combines direct patient care, education, and coordination in a dynamic sports medicine environment.
Compensation: $55/hour
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse (Sports Medicine):
- Patient Care: Deliver professional nursing care to patients, both in-person and via telephone, following established protocols and sports medicine practices.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with physicians, physical therapists, and other care team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians during sports medicine procedures and ensure a safe, efficient environment for patient care.
- Triage & Education: Perform telephone triage, provide patient education, and actively engage patients in planning their care.
- Care Coordination: Facilitate seamless care delivery and maximize coordination of efforts within the multidisciplinary team.
- Licensure: Current RN license in New York State, in good standing with active NYS registration.
- Experience: At least 2 years of recent professional nursing experience in a hospital, medical office, or clinical setting (prior experience in sports medicine or related fields preferred).
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) required.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
