Job Description
Take on a meaningful role as a Registered Nurse (RN) with our client in Philadelphia, PA, where you will work closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and support staff. This temporary position is ideal for someone who excels in communication, collaboration, and care coordination!
Compensation: $55/hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities as the Registered Nurse (RN):
- Care Coordination: Provide support for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families, ensuring effective communication with healthcare providers, facilities, and support staff.
- Community: Leverage knowledge of community healthcare organizations, insurance systems, and children’s services to guide families to appropriate resources.
- Education: Prepare and deliver educational presentations on assigned topics, ensuring families and support staff are well-informed.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with ODP departments and other community health organizations, maintaining strong working relationships and effective communication.
- Scheduling: Maintain a well-organized schedule while managing multiple cases and collaborating with families, providers, and coworkers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology (concentration in Developmental Disabilities preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience working with individuals who have Intellectual Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities, and Autism.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of public healthcare systems, intellectual disabilities services, and the supports coordination system.
- Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver presentations and work effectively within a team.
