Job Description

EXPERIENCE: All positions at Tsehootsooi Medical Center, Candidates must have a minimum of (2) two years recent RN experience in the specialty that is being applied for in order to be considered, in some cases more exp may be required.

DESCRIPTION: Our Emergency Department consists of 11 bed Main ED, 6 bed ED Fast Track, and 7 bed ED Observation Unit. All ED nurses are expected to rotate through each of these areas regularly. In addition,
nurses are assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening. Nurses can expect to be assigned a different area at minimum daily, and may be rotated during their shift, depending on the patient
volume and needs of the unit. May be assigned to assist with Covid testing and/or immunization clinics as needed.

SHIFTS: Mid-Shift (2 Openings) and Night Shift (2 Openings) with a maximum of one (1) week RTO, if needed. Shifts may change during contract and may need to cover day shift or mid shift as facility does rely heavily on contractors so as one leaves someone’s shift may change to accommodate their staffing needs. Schedule is typically 7 on, 7 off with 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be task-oriented such as answering call lights, phones, etc.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: Must have American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation certification (Obtained through facility after confirmation-$105 fee)
