Open RN - Perioperative Nurse, OR role in Montgomery, AL.
13 Week assignment beginning in January. 12 hour shifts in a Short Term Acute Care facility.

STRONG experience in Trauma (no burns), Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, General, Ortho spine, Ortho (must have total joint experience), Gyn, vascular (Endovascular as well), urology, robotics for both General and Neuro, Plastics, breasts, eyes. SimpliFi Interview & Manager Approval General Information: Number of Beds (if applicable): 15; 2 are CVOR Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes with at least 2-years experience Patient Types: Minimal Peds (typically Ortho) Patient Ratios: 1:1 Required Skills: STRONG experience in Trauma (no burns), Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, General, Ortho spine, Ortho (must have total joint experience), Gyn, vascular (Endovascular as well), urology, robotics for both General and Neuro, Plastics, breasts, eyes RN: circulate only, experience in above case types Prefer robotics experience (Robotic Mazor/DaVinci XI) Open Heart – CVOR? Staff specifically CVOR? How many? 2 would be asked for CVOR if needed. Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Support on the Unit: ORA Desk assistant Charge nurse Team leaders for service lines Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner IV pumps: Plum 360 Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Spacelabs Floating: If yes, where? No Orientation: 2 weeks on day shift, expected to take buddy call while on orientation Scheduling: Weekend rotation: on call On call? If so, what is that schedule? 1 day a week, one weekend a month Holiday Expectations: Expected to work a holiday per contract General Information: Number of Beds (if applicable): 6 ORs and 1 Cysto Room- max run is 6 rooms at a time. Central Sterile has decontamination and clean/autoclave room. Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? If the experience matches our need, yes, but prefer 2 years. Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes with 2 years of pertinent experience. Patient Types: General, GYN, Urology, Vascular, Ortho, Ped Dental (preferred exp, not required), Podiatry, ENT, Robotics for Gen, GYN, and Uro. Patient Ratios: 1:1 Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Skills required: Usual circulator skills. STRONG Robot experience required. Core specialty: General, GYN, Urology, and Vascular Support on the Unit: 4 Team Leader 3 Materials staff OR Assistants Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner IV pumps: Plum 360 Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Spacelabs Floating: Only within the department- Holding Room Orientation: Usually 2-3 shifts, but we evaluate each one to be sure they will be ready for call shifts Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Take call 1 weekend day (24 hours) per month On call? If so, what is that schedule? Take call 1 weeknight per week- 3p-6:30a
