Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist to join our team. This role involves supporting the implementation and monitoring of infection prevention and control programs. You will participate in data collection, investigations, and surveillance to prevent infection control issues, disease outbreaks, and epidemics. Additionally, you will assist in planning and evaluating educational programs related to infection prevention and collaborate in the review of occupational health policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infection Prevention and Control: Assist in implementing infection control programs, maintaining dashboards, and collecting data to identify improvement areas.
  • Surveillance & Investigation: Participate in investigations, interviews, and chart reviews to monitor and prevent outbreaks, exposure, and pandemics.
  • Educational Programs: Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs on infection prevention for hospital staff and clinical departments.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure infection control best practices and compliance with policies.
  • Data Collection & Reporting: Monitor trends, prepare reports, and maintain infection case dashboards. Participate in performance improvement initiatives by collecting data and providing insights for program enhancements.
  • Policy Review: Assist in reviewing and updating infection control policies to ensure alignment with organizational and national standards.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct on-site visits to evaluate infection control practices in clinical settings and maintain compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in infection prevention, clinical quality management, or related fields.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in nursing
  • Infection Control Certification required within 24 months of hire.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge in infection control principles, epidemiology, and healthcare data analytics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, provide educational support, and adapt to changes in infection prevention standards.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards, compliance, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and trend analysis related to infection control.

Compensation and Benefits:
