Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, compassionate care at the Gallup Indian Medical Center, a federal facility operated by the Indian Health Service. This is an excellent opportunity to serve a diverse patient population in a critical access healthcare setting.

Contract Details:

• Base Period: July 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026
• Work 13 weeks, 3 months or longer
• Option Periods: Three (3) additional option periods available

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Wage: $55.00 – $60.00
• Additional Compensation:
  • $4.93/hour – Health & Welfare (H&W)
  • $31.15/hour – Housing and Meals & Incidentals (stipends)
• Paid Time Off:
  • 10 days total (5 days awarded at 6 months; 5 days at 1 year)
• Sick Leave:
  • 56 hours of accrued sick leave annually
• Holidays:
  • 11 paid federal holidays

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Current and valid certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

• Education:
  • Diploma or degree from an accredited nursing program
• Professional References:
  • Three (3) professional references required
• Clinical Experience:
  • Relevant experience in emergency or acute care settings preferred
  • At least 3 years as a RN
