Job Description
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department. Evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists and ancillary departments as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care and flow through ER. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Communicates with ED physicians about changes in patient's status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Night shift (6:30pm - 7am), varying weekdays/weekends with one week of training on day shift.
Must have current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois; BLS and ACLS certification required. PALS, TNCC and/or TNS preferred.
13 week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Hourly + Per Diem reimbursement
