Job Details:
*NewYork - Presbyterian Queens provides emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to over 100,000 patients annually.
*The Emergency Department is staffed by highly qualified professionals who are dedicated to healing and trained to provide the best care as quickly as possible.
*All physicians specialize in emergency medicine and are certified in advanced cardiac life support, advanced trauma life support, and pediatric advanced life support.
*Physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses specially trained in emergency medicine and trauma are skilled in identifying urgent medical conditions that require immediate intervention.
*Each patient is screened upon arrival and is triaged into one of four distinct separate care areas designated to treat medical conditions from minor to serious.
*Level 1 Trauma Center. Our Emergency Department has been designated by the New York State Department of Health as regional Level 1 Trauma Center and treats more than 1,000 adult and pediatric trauma cases each year.
*This designation means that a complete support staff of physicians is always available to treat life-threatening traumatic injuries, and includes specialists in surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesia, orthopaedics, vascular radiology, and others.
