Job Description

2 years’ experience current required in an 18 plus bed telemetry/neuro unit required. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Will float to med/surg. Will float to ICU to care for tele patients boarding in ICU. Will float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or as helping hands.

CERTS: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. EPIC EMR experience preferred. Unless provided beforehand, Traveler must pass a Dysrhythmia exam during first week of assignment; Travelers that do not pass the test will be dismissed.

SHIFTS: 12 hour day shift position Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts.

ORIENTATION: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.

EMR: EPIC

SCRUBS: Required and not provided by the facility. White or black scrub top. Scrub pants in sangria/wine red, plum purple, hunter green or black.
