Job Description

Job Overview – Clinical Nurse Educator (MLTC RN):
Join our client as a Clinical Nurse Educator for MLTC in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, you will identify and address the learning and development needs of clinical staff. By evaluating competencies, providing feedback, and developing tailored educational programs, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care within the organization.

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000/year
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Responsibilities as the Clinical Nurse Educator (MLTC RN):

  • Program Development: Create and implement comprehensive classroom learning plans and training programs for clinical staff.
  • Competency Assessment: Evaluate clinical staff performance using field visit tools and identify areas for improvement.
  • Feedback and Guidance: Provide constructive feedback to clinical staff, managers, and regional directors based on documentation reviews, competency training outcomes, and field evaluations.
  • Compliance Training: Develop and deliver education programs in alignment with Department of Health and Managed Long Term Care standards for home care.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with leadership to identify ongoing training needs and design programs to address gaps in clinical knowledge or skills.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, staff competencies, and program evaluations.
Qualifications for the Clinical Nurse Educator (MLTC RN):
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Licensure: Current and active New York State Registered Nurse License required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years in an acute care setting, with prior experience in staff development, adult education, or home care required.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to groups.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to create and manage training materials.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Department of Health and MLTC standards for home care.
