Cardiac Cath RN travel opportunity

• 2.0 FTE Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurses to provide cardiac catheterization, transaortic valve replacement, and electrophysiology procedure services on site in accordance with specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) located at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System.
• PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Contractor shall furnish services at the VAPAHCS Palo Alto Division, located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304
• 13 week- 1 year options
• Monday – Friday
• 8 hr shifts
• We cover travel and malpractice
• We pay as a 1099

Requirements

• • • Certifications/Degrees:
      • Current, valid, and unrestricted state license for Registered Nurse.
      • All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification, degrees, and/or licenses must be kept up to date at all times. The Contractor shall provide documentation verifying current certification to the VA COR upon request.
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
    • Experience Required
      • A minimum of one (1) year of critical care experience
      • A minimum of two (2) years within the past three (3) years of cardiac catheterization laboratory experience including demonstrated competence and excellence in advanced nursing skills, ECG monitoring skills, hemodynamics, and performance in emergency situations, patient teaching, and patient/family communication.
    • Preferred Experience
      • Previous VA experience
      • Knowledge of the VA electronic medical records (CPRS)
