Job Title: RN First Assistant (RNFA) – Operating Room

Location: Long Beach, CA

Job Description:
Join our team as a RN First Assistant (RNFA) in our Operating Room at our hospital in Long Beach, CA. This position will work 8-hour shifts with Full-Time and Part-Time schedule options available.

In this role, you will provide surgical first assistant, scrub, and/or circulating nurse services during surgical procedures. You'll assist the surgical team as needed, following established procedures. Additionally, you’ll participate in the daily activities of the department as an active team member and demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient populations, including infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics. Continuing education is also a key part of this role.

Our hospital is dedicated to providing the latest in surgical technology and offering highly effective surgical procedures for our patients. Surgical services include orthopedic, gynecology, robotics, general, plastics, podiatry, bariatrics, urology, and emergency OB/GYN C-sections.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of RN First Assistant (RNFA) course
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire
  • 2 years of experience
  • Recent RN clinical experience in the operating room
