Job Description
Board CRNA who provides competent quality care within the scope of practice to all patients. A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN who practices both autonomously and in collaboration with variety of health providers on the inter professional team to deliver high quality and evidence-based anesthesia. The CRNA cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic and pain management.
Education/Regulatory Requirements & Experience:
• Hold a license as a RN.
• Earn an appropriate degree from an approved nursing program.
• Have a minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience.
• Graduate from a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetists Educational Programs.
• Successfully complete the certification examination administered by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
• Comply with criteria for biennial re-certification. The criteria include evidence of current licensure as an RN, active practice as a CRNA.
• Appropriate continuing education to meet regulatory standards. Previous work history that demonstrates steady attendance and punctuality is required.
Language Skills:
• Must be able to communicate and read effectively in English.
