Job Description

There are openings in the specialty areas below:

  • Critical Care ICU
  • Medical Surgery/Telemetry
  • Neonatal ICU (NICU)

All schedules are available evening and night (3x12, 4x10 and 5x8) hour shifts!

Position overviews:

Critical Care ICU Nurse:

  • Monitor and evaluate seriously ill patients.
  • Demonstrates sound decision-making in emergency scenarios based on patient conditions such as vital signs, patient presentation, and assessments including monitoring patient with Pulmonary Artery Catheter, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, and Ventilator support.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Medical Surgery/Telemetry Nurse:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day care/needs of acutely ill adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring, frequent assessments, and interventions. Cares for patients experiencing general medical conditions or surgical procedures, which require assessments related to specific conditions.
  • Administers medications.
  • Completes documentation requirements.
  • Supports patient self-determination and health promotion.
  • Monitoring and interpretation of telemetry

Neonatal ICU RN (NICU):

  • Provide care for infants immediately after birth.
  • Oversee the care of infant patients in the NICU.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain NICU equipment.
  • Consult with parents/guardians on aftercare and long-term health management for infants.
  • Educate new parents on basic infant care including breastfeeding, hygiene and safety.
  • Perform tests ordered by the obstetrician or nurse practitioner and evaluate the results.

Certifications and requirements: Graduate of accredited school of Nursing (ASN and BSN), Active Texas or compact state license
