Location: Dallas, TX

Shift: Days, 7-10 hours per day, weekdays only

We are currently seeking a Nurse Manager of Pediatric ICU (PICU) to join our exceptional team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring high-quality care and safety for pediatric patients. As the Nurse Manager of the PICU, you will oversee all clinical and operational functions, while working to align the department’s goals with those of the hospital. You will also drive process improvements and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a positive and effective care environment.

Job Summary:

  • Lead the PICU team, ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality pediatric care.
  • Manage critical decisions related to patient care, safety, and clinical practice.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity and coordination of care.
  • Foster collaborative practice and maintain strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee departmental functions, including budget management, staffing, scheduling, and physician relations.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives for the PICU.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required); Master’s degree in Nursing or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of acute care leadership experience in a PICU setting.
  • Current Texas RN license or compact license.
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • PALS certification.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate staff training and development through orientation and ongoing competency assessments.
  • Manage PICU personnel, including supervisory roles.
  • Oversee resource allocation and ensure effective use of human and material resources.
