Job Description

Specialty: Travel RN – Nurse Manager
The Nurse Manager in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and administration of the facility and the efficient delivery of patient care. This position involves overseeing the daily surgical flow.

Management Responsibilities: Oversees the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the clinic. Completes constructive and timely performance evaluations. Ensures the GROW Program is applied and ASC staff is tested on a quarterly basis. Keeps track of staff and helps grow their careers. Ensures that staff is adequately cross trained for multiple roles within the ASC. Builds strong relationships with physicians, employees, managers, the EHVS Practice Director, and vendors, fostering collaboration and outstanding patient care. Responsible for ensuring staff meets KPIs.
Requirements RN degree plus 10+ years of experience in an ASC, Operating Room, or Emergency Room setting Must be licensed RN in State of MA and commit to obtaining RN license in Rhode Island within three months of start date. Must possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making. Support and mentor new nurses, ensuring they receive appropriate training and orientation. Collaborate with the Employee Success Team and Executive Leadership Team to address any staffing issues or concerns.
Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated excellence in management, leadership, and organizational skills. Demonstrated excellence in communication skills. A good working knowledge of business regulations, standards, and procedures. Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy. Good organizational and management skills.
Education and Experience: At least 10 years relevant experience required. Experience in Ophthalmology/Optometry preferred, but not required.



Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Prolonged periods of standing during procedures in the ASC Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Working Conditions: Travel to other locations is necessary at times. Cross-training in Warwick, RI will be required Occupational Exposure - Category Ill exposure to blood-borne pathogens and may encounter chemical hazards
