Department RN Manager - Urology and Head and Neck

Job Summary:
The Service Unit Department Manager RN will manage large or multiple units providing ambulatory services within Urology and Head & Neck specialties. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. The manager will collaborate with physicians, manage staff development, and oversee clinical practice standards and budgets.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of large units, ensuring the highest quality of care and compliance with regulations, including the Nurse Practice Act and The Joint Commission.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to maintain patient care standards and meet service expectations.
- Act as a patient advocate and design systems to improve patient care across the continuum.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Determine appropriate staff mix, handle recruitment, training, and ongoing staff development.
- Manage human resources, labor relations, department safety, and risk management issues.
- Collaborate with the Physician Team Leader and Department Chief to meet organizational goals and ensure seamless daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in management or leadership/supervisory roles.
- Experience in ambulatory clinic management.
- BSN degree, MSN degree preferred.
- Current California Registered Nurse License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Understanding of The Joint Commission, State Regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in a Union environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $176,900 - $267,200
