Job Description

A private neurology practice is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to work with physicians in the Adult Neurology department at the Raleigh location. We offer a competitive salary and a full benefits package, including 401(k), health insurance, and CME.

The NP or PA will work under the supervision of one of the physicians. The provider will see up to 17 patients per day with the clinical support of a nurse and medical assistant.

Primary hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
No call or weekends

Job Duties:

  • Take patient's history, perform a physical exam, and order laboratory tests and procedures
  • Proper documentation and coding of patient visits in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage diseases
  • Consult with Supervising Physician
  • Provide prescriptions and coordinate referrals
  • Promote healthy activities together with the patient
  • Work with nursing staff to answer patient messages and provide guidance in response to phone calls from patients

Requirements:

  • Active licensure from the NC Board of Nursing or NC Medical Board
  • 1+ years of Neurology, Sleep, or Specialty experience is preferred

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent flexibility and time management
  • Sensitivity to patient concerns
  • Proficiency with computer systems
