Urology Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Are you a Nurse Practitioner seeking a travel position on California? We are hiring an experienced locum tenens Urology Surgery APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for an outstanding client in San Francisco! Come work and live in a great city of 6 months and experience the food scene, water life, Napa Valley and more!!

• Contract length: 26 weeks – Must be able to start in August, early September

• Coverage/Schedule details: Scheduled + No Call, 5 x 8s or 4 x 10s

• Rate: $110-$130/hr + tax free stipend

Position specific Details:

• Support staff: RNs who support APPs, patient coordinators assigned to do their scheduling/admin. The team consists of seasoned APPs who can train and assist as needed.

• Patients per day: 8 – 10 patients per day

• Patient population/age: Mostly adult/geriatric – some older adolescents

• EMR: EPIC

Skills required: Experience in one of the following: surgical oncology, surgery, urology, medical oncology. Experience in surgical oncology highly preferred. Willing to consider new grads if they have a lot of nursing surgical oncology or urology experience. Clinic is very busy and fast paced, must be comfortable in this environment. The facility and faculty are known for innovative research and is world renowned for the urology work being done.

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Yes

• DEA: Yes

• Certifications required: AHA BLS

• Minimum experience required: 1 – 2 years

• Credentialing Timeframe: 60 – 90 days
