NP/PA General Surgery Need in York, PA

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced NP/PA-Surgery to work locum shifts in York, PA. The role offers ongoing work with a competitive Market rate and benefits.

Schedule:

Fri 4p-7a, Sat-Sun 7a-7a with rounding ~7a-12p

Estimated Shifts/Month: 20 avail between 2 providers

Providers Typical Day:

Floor Management of patients: responsible for daily rounds on patients including placing orders, progress notes and communications with attendings and nursing staff regarding daily plans. Discharging patients, including appropriate instructions, summaries and orders Preforming daily bedside procures and tasks such as dressing changes, removal of drains/ NGTs Consults/ ER admissions Responsible for seeing consults in the ER or admitted to another primary service. Able to preform a comprehensive physical exam and evaluation. Communication with on call attending regarding operative planning. Appropriate documentation and orders. Operative Serve as a first assistant in general surgery cases. Able to efficient assist in open, laparoscopic and robotic cases. Preoperative and post operative care for patients

Requirements

• PA state license; active, unrestricted
• Board certified
• Certifications: BLS, CPR
• DEA Required
