Job Description
am reaching out to let you know about a Psych NP position in Boston, MA. This is a permanent, full-time position. Candidate will provide office, home and nursing home-based psychiatric evaluation and treatment for participants. EMR is Epic. Patients of all ages. Salary range $112k-$140k depending on experience. Duties and responsibilities include:
-Performs assessments for participants who are referred by PACE primary care or social work.
-On the basis of evaluation and in consultation with the interdisciplinary team, identifies patients who require ongoing treatment, prepares treatment plans with specific recommendations to primary care staff regarding management of psychotropic and related medications; behavioral or environmental interventions; relevant lab work, testing or other consultation to support appropriate diagnosis and implementation of treatment.
-Performs follow-up assessment and treatment, in the appropriate setting, for an identified panel of patients who require ongoing management of psychiatric medications and related treatment.
-Provides limited psychotherapy.
-Provides appropriate participant and family teaching and education.
Details for the position:
-Master of Science in Nursing with specialization and board certification in Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health advanced practice nursing.
-Psychiatric Clinician (PC) licensure in Massachusetts.
-Prescriptive privileges in Massachusetts
-Experience providing psychiatric evaluation and treatment for geriatric and medically complex populations with a broad range of mental health, substance abuse and dementia.
