Pediatric NP Coverage Needed

Assignment Length: 4-month contract with the option to extend

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team for a 4-month assignment starting in March. This position involves providing high-quality pediatric care to patients from newborns to 18 years old, with a focus on acute care, chronic illness management, and wound care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct pediatric patient care for newborns to 18 years old.
• Address acute care needs, manage chronic illnesses, and deliver wound care.
• Conduct well-child visits and other routine pediatric care.
• Collaborate with a supportive team, including MAs, RNs, and front-office staff.
• Work under the guidance of a supervising physician who is available on-call and on-site if needed.
• Complete administrative tasks, including charting, with dedicated admin hours.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Flexible schedule; full-time hours up to 40 per week.
  • Example: 36 hours of direct patient care, 4 hours for admin work.
• Location: May work at multiple sites within the system. Mileage reimbursement provided for inter-site travel during shifts.
• EMR System: EPIC
• Support: Supervising physician, MAs, RNs, front-office staff.

Qualifications:

• Active Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) required.
  
• Local candidates preferred.
• Must pass required drug screenings.
