Job Description

Position Details
Specialty: Gynecology/Oncology
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Shift Details: 3x12 – variable days (Monday-Saturday)
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Work Details
- Support Staff: RNs, MAs, usually only one APP on service at a time
- Patients per Day: 6-20 patients per day, usually 10-12 patients per day
- Patient Population/Age: Adolescents, adults, geriatricians
- Department Description:
- Post-op management
- Some inpatient chemotherapy administration
- Primarily inpatient management
- No OR time, no clinic time, strictly inpatient
- Common cases include uterine, cervical, and ovarian cancer
- Range of complex post-op patients
- EMR System: Epic
- Special Procedures:
- Occasional wound care
- No central lines
- No major procedures
Skills Required
- Administering chemotherapy (strongly preferred)
- Inpatient surgical oncology experience
- Gynecologic oncology experience (strongly preferred but inpatient experience is required)
Practice Setting
- Setting: Inpatient
- Facility: Hospital
Requirements
- Board Certification:
- If NP: Must have ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC
- License Required:
- CA license required for NP
- PA can license
- DEA License: Required
- Certifications Required: BLS
- Certifications Preferred: Additional relevant certifications
- Minimum Experience Required: 1-2 years of inpatient experience
Credentialing Timeframe
- 60-90 days
