Job Description

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will provide care to inpatient neonates in a Level I nursery. This will be an on-call position with alternating weeks of 24/7 coverage and rounding. You will work in collaboration with the Family Center Birth team. We strive to provide exceptional care using evidence-based medicine.

Our Family Birth Center has earned the prestigious “Baby Friendly” designation, only one of two in the state to achieve that level of excellence focused on supporting new moms and newborns. Our passion is to provide the highest level of care using current research to guide our evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

Must be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner’s education program with current licensure. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a NICU, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work cooperatively physicians, other APPs, nursing, and ancillary staff.

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will work within limits of training, experience and granted privileges, and must possess awareness and motivation to seek opinions of other medical staff when appropriate. Must have working knowledge of diagnostic/therapeutic equipment used in the department and have adequate skill and knowledge to effectively use technology while performing related duties.

Compensation/Benefits:
