Position: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Locations: Houlton, ME; Corinth, ME; Dover, ME; Jonesport, ME
Full-time Position
Job Summary
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide quality health care and emergency treatment to patients. This role involves health promotions, disease prevention, diagnosing and managing health problems, and collaborating with the patient’s Primary Care Provider. The NP/PA will work within their scope of licensure and, if applicable, under the supervision of a physician. Open to new grads.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient care according to established protocols and regulations to ensure quality care

Maintain accurate and complete patient health records in compliance with healthcare regulations

Interpret health data, identify risk factors, and provide wellness activities

Diagnose and treat common diseases and human responses to health problems

Counsel individuals and families on health care issues
-
Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources
-
Refer patients to other providers and resources as needed
-
Participate in the pre-visit planning process and daily team huddles

Adhere to all policies, protocols, and safety regulations
-
Participate in outreach activities and committees as required by the organization

Actively contribute to a team-oriented work environment, ensuring effective patient care

Education and Experience Requirements:

Graduation from an NLN-accredited Nurse Practitioner program, MSN preferred
-
Active State of Maine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
-
CPR and ACLS certifications (or equivalent combination of experience)

Strong communication, analytical, and observation skills
-
Experience in urgent care or wound care preferred
-
Clean criminal background and DHHS clearance
-
Valid State of Maine Driver’s License
