Pediatric Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner Opportunity - Sacramento, CA

Position: Full-Time Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team in Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will assess and manage pediatric patients with endocrine conditions, perform physical exams, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. You will report directly to the Chief of Service and the Department Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including patient history and physical exams.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Review and manage patient medical records, order diagnostic studies as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers, patients, and families.
• Participate in staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Utilize electronic health records and other technologies to document and manage patient care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of NP experience in pediatric endocrinology within the last 3 years.
• Specialized training in endocrinology.
• Experience in managing Type 1 diabetes in pediatric patients.
• Proficiency with insulin pumps and CGMS software.
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) required.

• California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number
• California Nurse Practitioner Certificate
• California Registered Nurse License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• National Nurse Practitioner Certification
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly rate: $91.72 – $108.95
