Reason for coverage: Provider out on extended maternity leave

Dates of Coverage: ASAP – 3-6 Months with option to extend, temps avail


Practice Description:

• Setting: Hospital & Clinic settings (Provider may be asked, if ok, covering some clinic depending on a departure of a clinic provider)

• Daily Responsibilities: Inpatient Rounding, OR (Mainly Hospital) – Depending on how many cases prescheduled, 1 provider scheduled for OR, 1 Back up, and 2 scheduled to do the rounding on the floor. Depending on providers skill level, they may be assigned to OR. Generally 2 OR cases per day. 10-15 patients per day if they are rounding. Pulling Epicardial Wires, Chest Tubes, Vein Harvesting and MUST be proficient in EVH and First Assist. Radial artery harvest experience

• Shifts/Schedule Expectations: OR – 7:00a-3:45p; Inpatient Rounding 7:15a-3:45p – Monday through Friday

• Call Schedule/Responsibilities: 1:4 Rotation between providers. 1:4 weekday and 1:4 weekends. On Weekdays will likely get a handful of calls but rarely go in. On Weekends, Provider will round in the AM for a few hours then be on call the remainder of the time. Will take calls but not likely to go back in.

• PPD/Census: Generally, 2 OR cases per day. 10-15 patients per day if they are rounding.

• EMR: EPIC
