Nurse Practitioner (APRN) - Eureka, CA
Pay Rate: $75-$90 per hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our team in Eureka, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to provide care for patients undergoing medication-assisted therapy as part of a comprehensive treatment approach to addiction recovery. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with physicians and counselors to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care in their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, including physicals, under the direction of a physician
- Monitor and dispense medication-assisted therapy to patients in recovery
- Supervise nursing staff and oversee medication storage, inventory, and dispensing operations
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient records in the system
- Collaborate with the Primary Care Physician (PCP) or other medical providers to ensure holistic patient care
- Consult with counselors, supervisors, and the medical team to review and adapt treatment plans as needed
- Conduct initial and annual Health & Physical (H&P) evaluations for patients
- Participate in case planning and consultation with clinical leadership and the medical director
- Provide weekend coverage as needed
Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in accordance with state regulations
- Current DEA-X Prescription license
- CPR, First Aid, and BLS certifications
- Experience or knowledge in substance abuse treatment is recommended
- Must maintain continuing education credits as required by licensing boards
