We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Educator with extensive experience in wound care treatment across various settings to join our network. This role demands a dedicated wound care professional who can accommodate a demanding travel schedule:

    • 90% travel within California
      • 50-60% travel outside the state

About the role:

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will:

  • Provide expert wound care services in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to improve patient outcomes.
  • Mentor and train clinical staff on best practices in wound care, MDS, IDT, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead educational programs on advanced wound treatment protocols, ensuring SNFs meet all state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct audits for Medicare compliance, survey readiness, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and care planning through EMRs (POC, PCC etc).
  • Develop and implement wound care programs to optimize healing and prevent complications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Address and resolve concerns related to patient care, staffing, and compliance.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator with:

  • Current & Active License: LVN, RN, WCC, or WOCN (California-based)
  • 2+ years of experience as a Floor Treatment Nurse in an SNF setting (Required)
  • 3+ years of overall SNF experience (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of MDS and IDTs (2+ years of experience)
  • Expertise in wound care, Medicare compliance, and survey readiness
  • Experience mentoring & training nurses and interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in EMR, POC, and PCC systems
  • Excellent presentation skills – Ability to lead educational sessions for SNF staff
  • Valid Driver’s License & Insurance (Required)
  • Full availability for extensive travel (50-60% includes flying out of state)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or consultant in wound care
  • Advanced certifications in wound care, infection prevention, or regulatory compliance

  • Travel: 90% Travel Required (50–60% of this involves flying to multiple states)
  • Ability to commit to a flexible schedule, including frequent travel and variable hours, to meet the demands of the role
