Job Overview - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Our client is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse in Philadelphia, PA, to support a community mental health clinic. In this temporary role, you'll provide comprehensive physical health care and assist with medical activities, working closely with the medical team to ensure quality patient care.

Compensation: $30/hour
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
  • Patient Care: Work with Medical Assistants to provide physical health services, including triage and patient care for all ages.
  • Patient Flow: Collaborate with the medical team to manage patient flow in an outpatient setting.
  • Counseling: Provide education, counseling, and family planning, coordinating referrals and appointments.
  • Medication: Handle prior authorizations for prescriptions and assist with medication refill issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
  • Supervision: Oversee Medical Assistants' responsibilities and provide training in medical activities as needed.
Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an LPN required, with Outpatient Practice experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Current LPN license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certification, Act 31 Mandated Reporter Training, and valid State ID.
