Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (Part-Time):
Join our client as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Readington Township, NJ. In this part-time weekend role, you will deliver direct nursing care, support youth well-being, and integrate a trauma-informed approach to healthcare. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care, promote health education, and foster a safe, nurturing environment.
Compensation: $40/hour
Location: Readington Township, NJ
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM (32 hours/week)
Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Nursing Care & Medication: Provide direct nursing care with a trauma-informed approach, administer medications, and monitor for side effects.
- Health Assessments: Evaluate the physical condition of youth and integrate findings into treatment plans.
- Daily Living Assistance: Support activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and well-being.
- Health Education: Educate youth and staff on health, hygiene, nutrition, and general wellness.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in treatment planning, crisis consultations, admissions, and care discussions.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, including progress notes and incident reports, and complete required training, such as CPR and First Aid.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licensure: Active LPN license in the State of New Jersey.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year working with youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD).
- Driver’s License: Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy, strong English communication skills, and ability to effectively address youth needs.
