Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):
Join our client in Easton, PA, as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing comprehensive care to youth in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. In this role, you will deliver nursing services, administer medications, and collaborate with treatment teams to enhance the well-being and development of the individuals in your care.
Compensation: $40/hour
Location: Easton, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (40 hours)
Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse:
- Nursing Care: Provide direct care that ensures the health and well-being of youth, integrating findings into individualized treatment plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications, complete accurate documentation, and educate staff and youth about health and medication management.
- Health Assessment: Monitor physical conditions, implement prescribed diets, and oversee exercise programs to support overall health.
- Daily Living Support: Assist youth with activities of daily living (ADLs) and accompany them to medical appointments and activities.
- Health Education: Teach youth and staff about hygiene, nutrition, body image, and overall wellness.
- Collaboration: Participate in treatment planning, team consultations, crisis management, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Licensure: Active LPN license in the State of New Jersey.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year working with youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD).
- Skills: Basic computer literacy, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a trauma-informed care approach.
- Attributes: Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, remain calm in crisis situations, and interact respectfully with diverse populations.
- Other Requirements: Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
