Our client is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their clinic team in Brooklyn, NY. This part-time role involves providing medication dispensing and nursing assistance, acting as the HIV Coordinator, and supporting the clinic's overall operations.

Responsibilities as the LPN (Part-time):
- Medication Dispensing: Assist the Registered Nurse in medication dispensing and perform all RN responsibilities in their absence.
- Patient Observation: Verify the identification and observe the behavior of patients receiving medical services.
- HIV Coordination: Act as the HIV Coordinator, tracking HIV patients for medical care and ensuring proper follow-up.
- Documentation: Maintain medical charts, appointment books, and daily visit logbooks.
- Patient Care: Perform independent nursing follow-up care, assist in patient identification for follow-up, and monitor urine toxicology.
- Examinations: Assist in admission and physical examinations, and provide the physician or physician assistant with laboratory data.
- Clinic Operations: Attend clinic meetings punctually and perform tasks to improve care quality, staff productivity, and patient satisfaction.
- Procedures: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, and assist in urine collection.
- Certification: Licensed Practical Nursing state certification required.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: 3 years of nursing experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of electronic medical records.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with patients and co-workers; excellent teamwork capabilities.
- Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
