Job Overview - LPN (Part-time):
Our client is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their clinic team in Brooklyn, NY. This part-time role involves providing medication dispensing and nursing assistance, acting as the HIV Coordinator, and supporting the clinic's overall operations.

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Compensation: $35/hour
Schedule: Part-time, 2 days/week (Day Shifts)


Responsibilities as the LPN (Part-time):
  • Medication Dispensing: Assist the Registered Nurse in medication dispensing and perform all RN responsibilities in their absence.
  • Patient Observation: Verify the identification and observe the behavior of patients receiving medical services.
  • HIV Coordination: Act as the HIV Coordinator, tracking HIV patients for medical care and ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Documentation: Maintain medical charts, appointment books, and daily visit logbooks.
  • Patient Care: Perform independent nursing follow-up care, assist in patient identification for follow-up, and monitor urine toxicology.
  • Examinations: Assist in admission and physical examinations, and provide the physician or physician assistant with laboratory data.
  • Clinic Operations: Attend clinic meetings punctually and perform tasks to improve care quality, staff productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Procedures: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, and assist in urine collection.
Qualifications for the LPN (Part-time):
  • Certification: Licensed Practical Nursing state certification required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of electronic medical records.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with patients and co-workers; excellent teamwork capabilities.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
