About the POSITION:
- CRNA needed
- This position works closely with the Surgery and Mother-Baby Unit Department staff ensuring the provision of high quality, safe patient care
- This is a full-time position, variable days/shifts
As a CRNA, you will…
- Assesses patients’ medical histories to predict anesthesia response.
- Develops anesthesia care plans.
- Obtains informed consent from patients for anesthesia procedures.
- Selects and prepares equipment monitors, supplies, drugs, fluids and/or blood products for the administration of anesthetics.
- Monitors patients’ responses and manages patients’ airways.
- Responds to emergency situations by providing airway management, administering emergency fluids or drugs, or using basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
- Performs or manages regional anesthetic techniques such as local, spinal, and epidural.
- Participates in on-going continuing medical education efforts and the implementation of process improvement.
- Cooperates with surgeons and staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participates in meetings and involvement in policy formation.
Which Qualifications Do You Need?
- Current Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure in the Anesthetist category.
- Successful completion of a master’s level accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
- Current certification as CRNA through the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (CCNA)
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a CRNA in a hospital setting.
- This position typically requires 1st and 2nd call. Call response time is consistent with ACOG standards.
- Current Certification in ACLS, PALS and NRP.
- HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire
