The Bradley Center
The Bradley Center
Company Information
Since 1905, The Bradley Center has continually served children and families in need. Today, the residential treatment facility provides 24 hour care and trauma-informed treatment to children who have a history of trauma and who may present with a wide range of challenges.
Treatment is conducted by multi-disciplinary teams that operate under the direction and supervision of a medical director who is a board certified psychiatrist. Intensive treatment plans direct the individualized treatment of each child. The Bradley Center follows the Sanctuary model of Trauma Informed Care.
The Bradley Center is seeking motivated, compassionate nurses who have a calling and passion for helping children. We are looking for individuals with initiative, creativity and a desire to have a positive impact on a child’s life. Experience in the mental health field is not required, just the desire to help children overcome their challenges. Our nurses are a valued part of the clinical team that delivers medical and psychotherapeutic care through assessment, planning and interventions.
Company History
Our doors first opened in 1905, when The United Methodist Women established an orphanage and interim housing facility for Pittsburgh-area children whose parents were separated or divorced. Originally known as The Elizabeth A. Bradley Home for Children, our organization was renamed as The Bradley Center in 1972.
In 1991, The Bradley Center was reorganized by a new non-denominational, community-based Board of Trustees. Under this new leadership, our organization has grown to become an accredited educational institution and a behavioral healthcare system that serves youth and families throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Over the years, our mission has evolved with the needs of the children we serve.
Today, our teachers, therapists, nurses and other professional staff are grateful to continue in the tradition of mentorship, guidance, and individualized care for children that our founders first began more than a century ago.
