Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences
Our Culture
Our values of integrity, excellence, service, student centricity, and caring are woven in to our everyday activities. We treat each other with kindness and respect but do not shy away from difficult conversations. Communication is key, and Joyce University focuses on winning with people.
Every month we celebrate our successes, express gratitude, acknowledge special occasions such as birthdays and work anniversaries, and launch monthly themes to help us learn, grow, and focus our community service efforts.
Time Off Philosophy
Paid time off from your first day. Employee satisfaction is important at Joyce University, and self-directed time off is an integral part of that sentiment which helps employees lead full and meaningful lives by supporting time away from work to pursue hobbies, projects and causes, be with family and friends, and recharge the body, mind and spirit.
In addition to our progressive philosophy on time off, we have eleven paid holidays where our campus is closed: New Years’ Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Pioneer Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Employee Development
Every employee partners with human resources to create a personal development plan and receive ongoing support to meet their goals. As a group we participate in ongoing training and development opportunities such as lunch-n-learns, book clubs, and quarterly special sessions.
We have a three-prong education assistance suite that offers tuition reimbursement, student loan assistance, and family member tuition reduction at Joyce.

Company History
A degree from Joyce is a sign of excellence for hospitals and healthcare facilities. Focused exclusively on healthcare since 1979, Joyce has built a reputation for producing graduates who are skillful, sought after and ready to succeed on day one. We are a smaller institution with a history of growth that operates differently with great intent. As we take our next big step forward, we seek individuals to join our team that will match our values and will adopt our vision for the future.
